Fall is truly here! Reading is the happening thing at Green Acres. Classrooms are humming with two hours of literacy time. All students go to RTI reading groups across the school. There are several computer reading programs at different grade levels. Many students are earning points in Accelerated Reader: the first awards were given out last Friday! Reading is definitely the cool thing this fall.
Our new lunch eating area has worked out wonderfully. Students now take their lunches to the nearby tables, and then are dismissed after 10 minutes of eating time directly to the playground. Ask your child what’s better about it and they can explain it to you!

El otoño realmente está aquí! La lectura es lo que está pasando en Green Acres. Los salones están zumbando con dos horas de alfabetización. Hay varios programas de lectura en diferentes grados. Muchos estudiantes están ganando puntos en la Lectura Acelerada: los primeros premios fueron entregados el viernes pasado! La lectura es sin duda lo mejor del otoño. Nuestra nueva área para el almuerzo ha funcionado maravillosamente. Ahora, los estudiantes toman sus comidas en las mesas vecinas, y luego se despiden después de 10 minutos de la hora de comer directamente al patio de recreo. Pregúntele a sus hijos porque esta manera es mejor y ellos se lo podrán explicar a usted!
Cuidar a otros vale mucho en Green Acres!
